Common Concerns with Acupuncture:

1. Q: How qualified is this person?

A: Please visit www.acupuncture.ca.gov to see the license status of any acupuncturist.  In addition to having a license, I began in the medical field 17 years ago as a medical assistant, ran a wellness clinic for seniors, worked in sports medicine, personal training, and athletic training, have additional training in nutrition, detoxification, toxicity, weight loss, adrenal dysfunction, and functional blood work.

2. Q: I hate needles!  I am afraid of needles!  They hurt!

A: I don’t blame you for this fear!  However, the only type of needle you have probably experienced is a hypodermic needle, for giving shots or taking blood.  An acupuncture needle is fine like a hair, with no hole in the middle.  Sometimes you feel nothing, or a heavy sensation, or a tingling sensation.  People who have been very afraid, once they feel it, say “oh, that’s it?”  The majority of my patients fall asleep in treatment.

3. Q: How long will it take me to get better?

A: Each person is different.  Each condition is different.  For this reason, we need the consultation with you and four visits to first, determine and diagnose the problem and your health history, and second, to establish your rate of response.

4. Q: Will insurance cover this?

A: It depends on your coverage.  With 10 years medical billing experience, it is best to bring in your card so we may verify your coverage.  We also have payment options, cash discounts, and an insurance specialist to assist you.

5. Q: What if I am skeptical?

A: We all know that if we do the same thing over and over, we get the same result.  If you have had a symptom, disease, or been taking a medication for more than a week, that is not normal.  If you keep treating it with the same methods, you will not get a new result.  You need to try something different to get a different result.  If you are skeptical, this means you either need further clarification to your questions, or you need to experience first hand the power this medicine has to heal the body.

6. Q: How do I get started?

A: Please call: 949-276-7222 to schedule.  We have hours to accommodate all schedules.

7. Q: What if I am not in southern California?

A: Phone consultations are available, and are useful to establish your health history, or also for the weight loss program, which can be coached from any area.  If necessary, you will be referred to someone in your area if possible.
